  • Quality reporting, writing and storytelling across platforms: These key competencies remain at the core of journalism in the digital age. They are a common thread to all we do.

Our training programme extends over 180 working days, resulting in ten months of full-day instruction including holidays. Each student receives comprehensive, practical training in print (newspaper and magazine), radio, TV and online journalism. Our course schedule also includes lessons specific to particular beats and genres. As a result, our students graduate with a complete tool box at their disposal.

Classes are taught by experienced professionals who work for leading media outlets as well as by renowned journalism trainers. DJS has applied the principle “They teach what they do” since its inception. Local editors teach local journalism; well-known commentators and editorialists teach opinion writing; quick-witted radio and TV presenters explain how to moderate programs and run shows.
