Training at the DJS qualifies students for jobs in all areas of journalism, including online newsrooms and social media platforms. Students practice with cameras and tablets, produce podcasts as well as multimedia reports. At the end of their training, they draw on a broad spectrum of skills to develop an ambitious digital project.
We teach journalism for social media through learning by doing, mini-workshops or the project “Behind the Curtain” on Instagram. We don’t follow every fad, but encourage experimentation and creativity. Our aim is to enable the next generation of journalists to implement ethical and professional standards on social platforms.
